    Leopard Hunting Methods

A typical day on your Leopard hunt will begin with an early morning rise, before dawn followed by a filled five-star breakfast watching the rising sun break over the horizon.

After first light, you will depart looking for “fresh bait” to shoot and to see if any of the Leopard baits were “recently hit”. Your Tanzania outfitter will know the Leopard hunting grounds very well and will have favourite spots to hang baits.

Trail cameras will be made use of to spot potential trophy Leopards and thereafter blinds will be constructed using local materials, mainly grasses and brush.  Then, the long periods of waiting will begin. Leopard hunts in Tanzania are certainly not for the faint hearted.

Daylight hours will also be used to hunt plains game species on this license. Your professional hunter will be one of Africa’s most qualified dangerous game hunting specialists, and you can be sure that trackers will be some of the world’s best. Shot Placement when Leopard hunting in Tanzania is critical and the hunter needs to have a good understanding of the anatomy of these magnificent cats. Pound for pound, when wounded a Leopard is the most dangerous animal in the world.

    Hunting Lodge in Tanzania

Accommodations when Leopard hunting in Tanzania are either luxury first class tents or dwellings constructed from local materials such as thatching and grass, all with a beautiful and rustic theme. Provisions are comfortable mattresses, camp furnishings, water filters and HF and VHF radio communications. Wifi and daily laundry service is included, but like on any African hunt, taking along a satellite phone is never a bad idea. Leopard hunts in Tanzania are enjoyed in the untamed Selous Reserve. A Leopard hunt in Tanzania is not inexpensive, but is one of the worlds most desired big game hunting experiences.
